Select Samples Across the Batch
Sampling should follow the buyer's agreed method and draw from available cartons across SKUs and production areas. Record carton and model identity for failed units.
The sample result supports a commercial decision but does not mean every unit was individually inspected. Buyers should understand the scope and residual risk of the chosen plan.
Check Identity, Function and Structure
Confirm model, plug, voltage label, color, controls, speed operation and included features. Review noise, vibration, airflow direction, oscillation, guard, blade, base, pole and assembly parts as applicable.
Separate critical concerns, functional defects, appearance issues and packing discrepancies using the agreed classification.
Inspect Packing and Quantity
Compare retail packing, manuals, accessories, labels, barcode and master-carton marks with approved files. Count carton quantity and review carton condition and dimensions where required.
For OEM orders, old artwork or mixed labels can create market problems even when the fan itself operates correctly.
Make a Controlled Release Decision
The report should state findings, sample scope, photographs and unresolved issues. The buyer decides whether to pass, require correction and reinspection, accept an agreed deviation or hold shipment according to the commercial arrangement.
Corrective action should address the cause and affected quantity. Replacing only the inspected failed sample is not enough when the issue may repeat across the batch.
