Philippines Hot Dry Season Planning

Philippines Electric Fan Import Season Wholesale Guide

Prepare dealer and online stock before the March-May hot dry period, while allowing enough time for port clearance, island distribution, production and packing approval.

Philippines electric fan wholesale import season planning

Direct Planning Direction

PAGASA defines the Philippines dry season as December-May and divides it into the cool dry period from December-February and the hot dry period from March-May. May is normally the warmest month based on national station averages excluding Baguio. Wholesale fan stock should therefore be positioned before March demand builds, with local and inter-island distribution completed before the strongest hot weeks.

Use January and February for Market Readiness

Importers targeting the March-May hot period should use the earlier dry-season months to receive, allocate and promote stock. The exact order date depends on model approval, production, shipment route, port, customs and destination warehouse. Do not treat January or February as universal arrival promises.

Start from the date branches, dealers or fulfillment centers need saleable stock. Work backward through domestic distribution, customs, sea transport, loading, inspection, production and OEM artwork.

Island Distribution Changes the Real Arrival Date

Manila or another port arrival may only be the first step. Goods for Visayas, Mindanao or regional cities need additional domestic movement and receiving. The importer should define whether the target is port arrival, central warehouse receipt or branch-ready inventory.

For multi-island distribution, allocate cartons by territory and protect the schedule of the longest domestic route. Keep model and packing identity clear so local warehouses can split stock without confusion.

Match the Fan Mix to Channel and Space

Stand fans, 3-in-1 fans and rechargeable directions have different price, carton and use profiles. Supermarkets may prioritize shelf presentation and barcode control. Appliance dealers may carry several feature levels. Online sellers need clear product media and a packaging system suitable for local fulfillment.

Use the model selection guide and the real fan catalog to choose a small number of clear roles instead of spreading quantity across too many unproven SKUs.

Prepare for Rainy-Season Transition

PAGASA identifies the rainy season generally from June-November, but climate types vary across the country and the transition can differ. A late fan reorder may enter a changing demand period. Check current PAGASA advisories and local sell-through before releasing another seasonal quantity.

Humidity and year-round household use may support some ongoing demand, but this should be proven by the buyer's channel. Do not assume the hot-season rate continues for the rest of the year.

Control OEM and Market Information Early

Confirm plug, voltage, frequency, rating label, manual language, logo, barcode and packing claims by product and market requirement. Printed materials should be final before bulk packing. A late box change can delay otherwise finished stock.

Where retailers need listing data or packaging approval, include that process in the warehouse-ready plan rather than treating it as work after arrival.

Use Sell-Through to Decide the Second Order

Track weekly sales, remaining stock, territory coverage and local wholesale price during March and April. Compare the remaining hot period with the complete repeat-order cycle. A second order is justified only when realistic new stock can reach the channel with enough selling time.
