Direct answer for a Chile rice cooker sourcing decision

A complete Chile inquiry identifies the importing company, RUT or importer identity handled by the buyer, sales region, channel, exact model, quantity and intended range position. It also freezes capacity, inner-pot body and coating, lid and steam path, control method, supplied accessories, rated voltage, frequency, plug, cord, label, Chilean Spanish artwork, individual box, master carton, requested trade term, destination, sample protocol, SEC questions, food-contact evidence, inspection and after-sales boundary.

The catalog supports discovery, not market authorization. A published capacity does not identify the inner pot. An exterior material field does not establish food-contact construction. A product photo does not prove cooking performance or SEC certification. The importer and qualified Chilean parties own the final certification, customs, tax, consumer-information and market-entry decisions. The factory coordinates available evidence only when it matches the proposed model, component set and production revision.

Build a shortlist from controlled public model records

These records are public factory catalog routes. Confirm the current sample, signed specification, rated label, pot and coating, lid, accessories, packing sheet and evidence before purchase release. No listed route is represented as automatically certified, accepted or suitable for every Chile channel.

TK-208 Standard

Published route: 5L, 900W, AC220-240V, Plastic PP and a 40HQ reference of 2040. Confirm pot, coating, lid, controls, cord and carton revision.

TK-208 Gold Direction

Published route: 5L, 900W, AC220-240V, Plastic PP plus glass and a 40HQ reference of 2040. Keep its appearance and artwork file separate from standard TK-208.

S-100 Window Lid

Published route: 5L, 900W, AC220-240V, Plastic PP and a 40HQ reference of 1700. Confirm glass, lid assembly, steam path and carton protection.

Model 601

This route has a 5L text versus 6L packaging-image conflict. Page text also shows 900W and AC220-240V. Do not quote capacity until the current sample and signed specification resolve the conflict.

TK-108

This route has a 900W text versus 700W packaging-image conflict. Page text also shows 5L and AC220-240V. Freeze the current rated label and electrical file before comparison.

Published loading figures

The 40HQ numbers are catalog references, not guarantees. Recalculate after individual box, carton, units per carton and model mix are approved.

Freeze the Chile electrical version before price comparison

For the proposed Chile route, record 220V, 50Hz, plug configuration, cord set, appliance class, rated power, control components, heating plate, thermal protection, fuse, connector and rated label as one electrical identity. Do not compare one quotation marked 220-240V with another whose current sample, rated power or plug remains unknown. The factory specification, test sample, label artwork, inspection checklist and certification submission should refer to the same version.

SEC protocol PE No. 1/12:2021 specifically includes rice cookers and slow cookers among household liquid-heating appliances up to 250V. It references IEC 60335-2-15 and IEC 60335-1 and includes national marking, plug or adaptor, electrical safety, component registration, identity verification and certification-system provisions. The protocol states that rated power is determined for 220V and 50Hz for the report and approval certificate. A buyer should use the current official protocol and qualified Chilean certification parties to define the project, samples, family grouping, documents and lot or production control.

Do not treat a foreign report as Chile market authorization

A CE mark, CB report, IEC report, supplier declaration, catalog image or certificate issued for another model does not by itself create Chile authorization or Sello SEC rights. Match the brand, model, factory, rated voltage, frequency, power, plug, cord, protection parts and full bill of materials to the version intended for Chile. Qualified Chilean parties should determine the applicable certification system, authorized organization, sample quantity, family rules and commercialization route.

If a plug adaptor is proposed, the SEC protocol includes conditions for adaptor certification and testing with the product. That is a project decision, not a shortcut to be assumed after production. Confirm the final plug and cord direction before samples, artwork or certification work begin. Do not print a certificate number, QR label or Sello SEC until the exact commercial version has a valid authorized basis.

Map every food-contact component to the exact model

Build a food-contact map for the inner-pot body, coating layers, lid underside, steam vent, seals, measuring cup, rice paddle and any other component that contacts rice, water or steam condensate. Record material, supplier, drawing, coating system, colorant or additive where relevant, available declaration or test evidence and sample revision. An exterior field such as Plastic PP does not identify the inner pot or coating.

Chile's Food Sanitary Regulation, Decreto 977, addresses utensils, containers and apparatus used with food. Article 123 addresses resistant materials and transfer of harmful or product-altering substances. Articles 125 and 126 contain provisions for metals and plastics in contact with food. The importer and qualified Chilean parties should determine how the current regulation applies to the proposed rice cooker, accessories and evidence. Do not print claims such as food grade, PFOA free, BPA free or non-toxic without approved exact-model evidence and destination wording.

Approve cooking performance with a repeatable buyer protocol

Define rice type, rice mass, water ratio, ambient conditions, starting temperature, cooking mode, cycle time, keep-warm period and acceptance observations before testing. Record switch operation, indicator behavior, heating, automatic transition, lid and steam behavior, overflow, scorching, sticking, pot removal, handle temperature and abnormal conditions. A successful informal demonstration is not a substitute for an agreed protocol.

Use the same approved sample and method for pre-production review, inspection and receiving comparison. If the pot, coating, thermostat, heater, control board, fuse, lid, seal or cord changes, reopen the relevant functional and evidence checks. Keep photographs, measured results and retained samples tied to the model and revision.

Release Chilean Spanish OEM files under one revision register

Control the product label, safety warnings, instructions, individual box, barcode, importer identity, warranty or service information, master carton and any retail insert under one artwork register. The buyer supplies or approves Chilean Spanish wording and destination legal information. The factory records file name, revision, approval date, print position and signed proof.

Do not add unsupported capacity, energy-saving, healthier cooking, non-stick, automatic safety, certification, delivery or market-demand claims. If the product, pot, coating, lid, electrical construction, plug, importer identity or claims change, update every affected file before printing. Production inspection should compare the printed order with the approved revision rather than a previous shipment photo.

Prepare customs and landed-cost inputs without guessing

The importer and customs broker determine tariff classification, customs value, origin, duties, taxes and declaration requirements. Supply a precise product description, function, exact model, capacity, rated voltage, frequency, power, plug, materials, accessories, country of origin, quantity, value, currency, Incoterm, package count, dimensions, net weight, gross weight and available technical files.

ChileAtiende provides an advance-ruling route through the National Customs Service when a buyer needs a decision on classification, valuation or origin before the operation. The factory can provide samples, drawings, photographs, technical sheets and catalogs, but it does not issue the ruling or guarantee duty treatment. Compare landed cost only after every supplier quote uses the same model, electrical version, accessory set, carton revision and trade term.

Inspect identity, function, artwork and packing as separate layers

The pre-shipment checklist should reconcile model, color, capacity, inner-pot body and coating, lid, steam parts, controls, accessories, heating plate, thermostat, thermal protection, fuse, cord, plug, rated label, cooking function, keep-warm transition, leakage or overflow observations, Chilean Spanish files, barcode, individual box, master carton, quantity and shipping marks. Define sampling and acceptance criteria before inspection begins.

A functional inspection does not replace SEC certification or food-contact review. Keep the signed specification, approved sample, component register, artwork register, evidence matrix and inspection result connected by the same model and revision. Retain a shipment sample where practical for receiving and after-sales comparison.

Control substitutions and repeat-order changes

Record the approved pot, coating, lid, heater, thermostat, fuse, control parts, cord, plug, rated label, accessories, box and carton as one commercial baseline. A supplier substitution, coating change, new thermal component, different cord or revised importer artwork should trigger documented review before production continues. The buyer can then decide whether the change requires a new sample, updated evidence, certification review, artwork approval or revised inspection.

For repeat orders, reference the previous purchase order and list every intended difference. Do not rely on phrases such as same as before. This change-control record protects cooking consistency, certification identity, Spanish files, service parts and receiving checks across the partnership.
