Convert every function count into a controlled BOM
Terms such as 3-in-1 or 8-in-1 can hide different accessory sets. List each function beside the exact jar or cup, blade, lid, seal and coupling used to perform it, then test that assembly on the same base unit that will be released for production.
A complete BOM should prevent substitutions between similar-looking vessels or accessories. Link the BOM to approved photographs, component references, internal packing positions and the buyer's acceptance tests so inspection can verify the shipped set.
More parts increase carton volume, handling points and after-sales exposure. Compare landed cost and service-part responsibility using the approved set, then let the buyer's own channel evidence decide whether the extra functions justify the commercial position.
Multi-function BOM and test release gate
The advertised function count may be released only when these records describe the same set:
- Function-by-function component map covering vessels, lids, blades, couplings and accessories
- Buyer test for every advertised function using the released base and supplied assembly
- Approved BOM, component photographs, packing positions and replacement-part references
- Carton volume, handling protection, inspection checklist and final artwork wording
Commercial outcome boundary: These controls support model selection and order release. They do not guarantee local demand, sell-through, margin, profit, a fixed arrival date or a repeat order.
