Is a battery capacity line enough to ship a rechargeable appliance?
No. Capacity is only one identity field. A controlled shipment file should identify the battery chemistry, cell or battery manufacturer, exact model, nominal voltage, watt-hour rating, physical construction, installation configuration, test-summary reference and production version. The forwarder, carrier and qualified dangerous-goods owner must then classify the actual consignment and confirm current packing, marking, documentation, state-of-charge and acceptance requirements for the selected mode and route.
A factory can provide legitimate product and production records available for the approved order. It should not select a shipping declaration, promise carrier acceptance or say that a report covers a battery whose identity does not match.

UN 38.3 Test-Summary Matching
A real report is useful only when it covers the supplied battery
The UNECE Manual of Tests and Criteria requires a lithium cell or battery test summary to be made available. The summary includes manufacturer and laboratory details, a unique report number and date, a battery description, model numbers, tests and results, the applicable manual revision and a signature. Importers should compare those fields with the approved battery specification and sample.
