Is an Australian RCM file automatically enough for New Zealand?
No. Australia and New Zealand share standards and some recognition routes, but the importer must verify the New Zealand requirements for the exact product. WorkSafe states that declared medium-risk articles generally require a New Zealand supplier SDoC supported by a test report or certificate. A compliant EESS registration can replace that SDoC only in the circumstances described by WorkSafe. New Zealand equipment markings and RSM EMC or radio labels still require their own route-specific decisions.
Do not confuse three uses of marks. The RCM can indicate electrical and EMC conformity, RSM requires R-NZ for many radio products not harmonised with Australia, and WorkSafe explains that an RCM alone is not the unique certification marking required for certain New Zealand declared articles.
